The debate is whether cattle should be raised on diets primarily composed of pasture (grass) or a concentrated diet of grain, soy, corn and other supplements. Feed maize is harvested mainly by self-propelled harvesters. A major component of maize grains is the starch(65-68%), it also contains cellulose, free sugars, mineral and protein substances and lipids; it’s rich in vitamins – C, E and Carotene (provitamin A).
