A vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the soybean. It is one of the most widely consumed cooking oils and the world’s largest source of vegetable oil. Soybean oil is mostly used for frying and baking and also used as a condiment for salads. Often termed as healthy and nutritious cooking medium, Soybean oil constitutes about half of worldwide edible vegetable oil production, and thirty percent of all fats and oils produced, including animal fats and oils derived from tropical plants.
